Green is the way forward

I have been a member of the Green party since Zack Polanski was elected as leader (and the party moved further to the left) but I was hesitant to publicly back them over ‘Your Party’.

With the current turmoil in between Corbyn and Sultana I am now confident in saying that I think that you should support the Greens as the left-wing party of the future.

Even if they overcome their current disagreements, ‘Your Party’ is defined by its celebrity politicians, who seem egotistical and factional. Corbyn is also seen by many as a failed leader and is often accused of being antisemitic. I don’t want to write them off but its not looking good.

The Green party, on the other hand, is institutionally democratic and seems well placed to become a major force in politics. They support environmentally responsible policy by default and, with Zack as leader, genuinely progressive politics unlike any other established party. The Green party also have much of the necessary infrastructure already and much less risk of total collapse than the new party.

When we get to the next election we will almost certainly be using strategic voting to vote against Reform UK rather than for anyone however what you do between now and 2029 may change who is the primary opposition in your constituency.
